"The Flip camcorders are invaluable in a place like Somalia where the danger level is very high and standard camera equipment is normally met with agression."

World Food Programme: Somalia Video Diary
The World Food Programme is one of our earliest partners and has been taking full advantage of the camcorders - using them to capture footage in some of the most dangerous places on earth. Because they are capturing scenes in locations that all others avoid, they have become the go-to for network video footage of these areas.
WFP's Marcus Prior recently travelled into Somalia to see for himself how people are suffering as a result of conflict, drought and high food prices, and what WFP is doing to help.
Somalia is one of the most dangerous places in the world, but a country with massive needs where WFP is doing everything they can to maintain a steady supply of food in the face of enormous security and logistical challenges. These videos help bring to light the challenges they face in providing food for the hungry and are an integral piece in the global WFP communications plan.
